Washington D.C.--The United States economy might still being tanking, but politicians aren't feeling the pain. They are enjoy all the benefits of special interest money.

"I haven't seen money spent like this since Paris Hilton had her father's credit card." An unnamed donor said outside a rally held for Harry Reid.

The midterm elections could go a long way to adding to the already harmful atmosphere of partisan politics that the Founding Fathers of the United States hoped to avoid when they signed the Constitution of the United States.

"I think that basic freedoms are being crushed by the amount of money being spent by special interest in this election. People aren't getting an honest look at these candidates. The amount of negative adds run by these unnamed donors is an impingement on our personal freedoms." President Obama said at a rally in Ohio.

Republicans who were too busy counting their money from Big Oil, Big Coal, and Wall Street to make any comments right now.

"I think it safe to say that the money being spent in this election could have been used to help the United States economy get back on track, but companies are worried they are going to lose all their big tax breaks if Democrats stay in power," a spokesman for the Center of Responsive Government said.

The economy might recover, but will voters taste for politics waver after this election year?
