"Go and seek out Terry Jones in Florida"

Nine years ago to the day, a new publishing house was created. Alamo Publications opened their doors for the first time in New York. We all know the story of the fort in Texas, the Alamo, which is forever etched in American history. However, what is far less well-known, is that Alamo Publications is an Islamic company who are responsible for keeping the fast-growing Muslim population well-stocked with millions of copies of the Koran. Alamo, at this juncture, is a contraction of Allah and Mohammad and so the unsuspecting Americans found it perfectly acceptable for the company to exist - all to do with being patriotic, you see.

For a few years, Alamo Publications were doing nicely thank you very much, and they could see the need to build a new office to produce even more holy books. They actually wanted to build near Ground Zero - the site of the 9/11 terrorist attack which brought down the World Trade Centre.

However, more recently it has faced severe competition from rival Christian publishers. As Armageddon gets even closer, people are beginning to study the Bible with an extreme urgency and sales of the Koran plummeted sharply. Because of the economic downturn last year, Alamo Publications were on the verge of bankruptcy.

Then all of a sudden, the Chief Executive Officer, Ali Aqbar was told in a dream that he was to visit a church in Florida and seek out a Pastor called Terry Jones. He was asked to plant the idea in his mind to burn as many copies of the Koran as he could in one day. That day was scheduled to be 11th September 2010.

Unbeknownst to Terry Jones, he would be doing Alamo Productions a big favour, because each copy he burnt, would have to be replaced by a new one. Hence, Alamo Publications would be working flat out and hopefully it will replace the Bible which has been the world's best seller of all time.

Not only has this stunt stunned the world and made Terry Jones famous, it has also got people saying on 9/11 day "Remember the Alamo?"

Make IN SEINE's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
