image for 1 in 5 Americans believe Obama is Osama Bin Laden
Obama forgets to take off his Osama disguise before delivering a Memorial Day speech in front of the US flag

WASHINGTON: Americans are increasingly convinced that President Barrack Obama is in fact Osama Bin Laden.

Nearly one in five or 18% of those polled were sure that the President is the leader of Al Qaeda. 40% knew he wasn't. Another 10% said they didn't know and the remainder had either not heard of Osama Bin Laden or they had not heard of President Obama.

One American explained why he believes that Obama is Bin Laden. "Isn't it funny that Osama disappears off the face off the earth at about the same time as Obama appears in Washington? And their names are practically the same. Also, everyone knows that Obama is a Muslim who supports the building of mosques everywhere like at Ground Zero. But the final proof is that he's big friends with Pakistan."

Another American insisted that Bin Laden's beard was false. "Nobody but ZZ Top has a beard like that. Obama's probably like Bruce Wayne, living a privileged life by day in the White House with a secret button in the Oval Office which opens a hidden door to his Al Qaeda cave where he puts on his false beard and towel and becomes the most wanted man in the world. OSAMA BIN LADEN is probably an anagram of PRESIDENT OBAMA"

It wouldn't be the first time that the President of a country was a secret arch criminal. General Manuel Noreiga of Panama was a drug lord who was removed from power by a US invasion in 1989.

The White House issued a statement denying that President Obama is Osama Bin Laden and urging Americans not to shoot him. "He really is the President", said Secretary of State Hilarious Clinton. "And the secret hideout under the White House has been blocked up ever since I found out about Bill and Monica Lewinsky."

Michelle Obama supported the statement. "Barrack's definitely not a Muslim. He hasn't beaten me once."
