image for Sex Talk By Parents Coming Too Late, Like After Honeymoon

The sex talk is never easy. It's uncomfortable for everyone involved as parents are afraid to attempt it and children are mortified by it. But a new survey says that many parents are doing it too late.

"Mostly, they wait until the kids get married and the dad asks something like, "How is it, son? She really putting out?", states psychiatrist Jerome Johnson. "Then the child gets all embarrassed. Parents need to ask them things earlier. Like when they're 10 or 11."

"My mom waited until we were married for six months" confesses one young lady in the survey. "Then all of a sudden she hits me with, "Has Howard got a whopper or what? His feet are like Bozo the Clown."

"That's the way is was with me", stated still another female, after several other young people's answers were read back to her. "In my case, it was 'Shirley, you walked bow-legged for a month. I bet that young man pinned you down pretty good didn't he? Are you doing it all over the house. I saw the dining room table legs were wobbly, and yours too for that matter."

Others say on their first visit back to their parents after the honeymoon, there were all these winks, nudges and wiggling of eyebrows.

"My dad even stated, 'I guess it's OK to have dinner on this table. It looks like there's been a lot of good meals served already!' and it's wink, wink, wink!!"

Other psychiatrists say that, although you should talk to you pre-teens about sex, it can save the parents a lot of money purchasing expensive "equipment and pills" by them getting horny for each other after all the sex talk.

"It's their way of remembering their early experiences. I asked those couples to stop their car after going outside and look back at their parent's house. Bet the lights go off pretty quick."
