DELUTH, GA--- A middle-aged couple reported to Atlanta police yesterday that they had been defrauded and robbed by a 35-year-old dwarf posing as their 12-year-old foster child, Arnold Jackson.
"We should have known by the fact that his name was from 'Different Strokes' and he wasn't even black" Said Oliver Kloister,55. "Me an' Lou Ann took the little tike in out of the kindness of our hearts. He told us we were the only foster parents he ever had that let him smoke in the house."
Unfortunately for the Kloisters, their kindness was not reciprocated. Jackson was actually 35-year-old French con-artist Jacques LeFleur. LeFleur, who stands at four feet two inches tall is being sought by the F.B.I in connection with at least three similar scams. LeFleur entered the Atlanta foster care system posing as 12 year old Jackson about 3 months ago, said a police spokesperson. After being placed with the Kloisters, LeFLeur gained the couple's trust, and eventual access to their bank accounts and credit cards.
"He seemed like such a nice boy," said Lou Ann Kloister, foster mother, " He was so cute with that little mustache and French accent. But I didn't like those girls he had over... not nice Christian girls at all."
Mrs. Kloister is believed to be referring to LeFleurs affinity for prostitutes. Police are still searching for LeFleur and possible accomplice known only as "Dudley."
