image for Obama Ignores Bible, Will Swear In On Koran
He doesn't want to offend the Moslem world

When Barack Hussein Obama is sworn in as President of the United States, he will not have one hand on the Bible (a tradition dating back to George Washington). He will, instead, take the oath of office with one hand on the Koran (the scripture book of the Moslems).

When asked why he was forsaking the Bible, Obama said that "I am the President of Change, and that will be my first change. Besides, I don't want to offend all of our Moslem brothers of the world and give them more reason to hate the United States."

Some reporters who were in attendance at the press conference where this change was announced were anxious to here what the Reverend Jeremiah Wright thought of this change. Wright became famous for saying such things as "God Damn America" and that AIDS was created to keep blacks down from his pulpit.

"I don't know; I haven't been able to reach him," replied Obama. "He's currently on a pilgrimage to Mecca."
