Fatima Mustafa, the Iraqi cleaning woman has put the shoes tossed at President Bush on eBay

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Fatima Mustafa, 87, who works as a cleaning woman at the Sands Motel in downtown Baghdad has taken the shoes that were thrown at President Bush and placed them on eBay.

Mrs. Mustafa, whose cleaning duties include cleaning the conference room where President Bush spoke remarked, "In all my 47 years as a cleaning woman, I have cleaned up all kinds of messes. But I have never had to clean up a pair of nasty shoes that were tossed at somebody.

"People are getting messier and messier all the time. I swear that if I had a nickel for every camel hair I have picked up I would have about three million nickels.

"And the desert sand alone, that I have vacuumed up would literally fill Oprah Winfrey's walk-in clothes' closet ten times over."

When told that the 'thrown' shoes would probably bring her a substantial amount of money, Mrs. Mustafa replied, "Yes, that is what my agent has told me."

"You have an agent? she was asked.

"Oh, yes, Mr. K.F. Paxton, a very nice gentleman from Beverly Hills. He told me that with the money I will make from the sale of the shoes that I will be able to retire my dust mop, my sand broom, and my camel brush forever.

"It really makes me and my husband, Maliko so happy. Because now, we will finally be able to afford that second camel that we have been dreaming about for 30 years.

"And also we won't have to eat jackal sandwiches and camel casseroles three times a day anymore. Thank goodness, now we are going to be able to splurge and buy spam, baloney, and warthog helper. We are so blessed."

K.F. Paxton, Mrs. Mustafa's agent stated that the size ten shoes were in excellent condition, except for the left shoe which had a few visible camel toe scuffmarks.

Paxton added that five minutes after the two shoes were put on eBay that the left shoe had already received a top bid of $9,000, and the right shoe had received a top bid of $13,215.

When told of the bids, Mrs. Moustafa smiled and said, "All day yesterday I have been praying to the high sultan of camel humps and he is coming through."

Mrs. Mustafa smiled and meekly said, "Well, I have to go now. I need to go down to the drugstore and buy me some lipstick, perfume, raisinets, and some cigarettes."

"Camels?"

"But of course." Mrs. Mustafa replied.
