"I hope, pray, believe I will be able to wake up as vice-president elect, so I made sure to cross out Biden's name on the ballot I cast."

Asked by reporters what it was like to vote for herself as vice president, she replied that "it was exciting, but confusing, because I was listed along side McCain, so I just circled my name and then Obamas name and drew a line through McCain, and Biden."

Palin, not realizing that her actions made her ballot invalid, continued by saying, "I know I technically should be voting for McCain, but he didn't have a chance at winning, and nobody really likes Biden, people like me, and people like Obama. On prom night how often are the king and queen girlfriend and boyfriend? You've got to go with the popular choice, plus I like that Obama is about change, who wants more of the same?"
