The Reverend Jeremiah Wright spoke out again Tuesday night, this time on a different subject - Miley Cyrus. Wright said that there's nothing wrong with a young woman expressing herself in that manner, and that it's natural for men to find them attractive. However, Wright stressed that he hates Cyrus because of all the harm she has been done to the black community.
Rev. Wright has caused a great deal of problems for the Barack Obama campaign in recent weeks due to controversial remarks, often critical of America. Barack Obama is a long-time member of the church where Wright preached, though he has been distancing himself of late. On Wednesday morning Obama's campaign released a statement again showing disagreement with Wright: "Senator Obama does not find Miley Cyrus attractive in any kind of sexual manner. Rather, the Senator appreciates her singing, fashion sense, and general good work as a role model for young children. However, the latest photo shoot was inappropriate and Senator Obama appreciates and accepts her apology for her misconduct."
There was no word from the Jeremiah Wright camp about a response to Obama's remarks. However, speaking on behalf of the Hillary Clinton campaign, former president Bill Clinton did make a brief statement: "This is why Obama is not qualified to be president. He has no judgment. That is one hot girl. And she's not that good of a singer either ... but I would like to show her my saxophone."
The Clinton campaign quickly disavowed the former president's remarks, and Hillary was seen taking Bill out back with some heavy equipment.
