image for Clinton Drops Out of Presidential Race
"I got no funkin' energy," Clinton said on record.

PLAINFIELD, NJ - George Clinton, a funk music legend and leader of the ground-breaking funk groups Parliament and Funkadelic, could no longer handle the stress of campaigning for the United States presidency.

"I just can't do it anymore, I got no funkin' energy," said an exhausted Clinton, hours after dropping out of the race.

Clinton, the former independent candidate, cites funktigue as the main factor in his withdrawal. "I did so much work campaigning to be elected galactic Prime Minister of Funk, I ain't got no energy left to campaign here on Earth."

Despite his withdrawal, Clinton plans to continue to serve in his roles as Prime Minister of Funk and King of Interplanetary Funkmanship.
