This as veterans testified on Capitol Hill about deliberate falsehoods and deliberate misrepresentations about the deaths of soldiers by friendly fire and other causes, but officially reported as lies to boost morale. Bush took the opportunity to blast Congress for hancuffing our generals and telling the enemy when we're pulling out concluding that,"The American people voted for change, The American people did not vote for failure."
