American Idol loser, Antonella Barba, has a new song to sing and she will be performing it, in her unique, off-key warble, as an American Patriot!
Antonella, who was booted off the popular TV talent show last week, is set to become a poster girl in the new American Disabled Veterans fundraising drive.
Former paratrooper and head of the American Disabled Veterans group, Bob Phlegm, told us,
"When we saw the photos of Antonella at the WW2 memorial in Washington, we realised that this was the image we needed to raise our profile. The memorial is symbolic of a defining moment in the 20th Century, it is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice and commitment of the American people. Combine that with a set of perky breasts and a winning smile and you've got media gold, my friend!"
The group plan to release a calander, featuring Antonella draped over various war memorials and in various stages of undress.
"Antonella reflects the spirit and determination of the American serviceman," says Phil Bazooka, who lost a leg at Pearl Harbour, "Even though she entered the competition with no talent or natural ability she made a big impact, by diverting everyone's attention with pictures of her tits. Much as we did, when we entered WW2 a fortnight before it was over and the British had done all the fighting for us."
There has been critisism from some veterans, however, that the move cheapens the dignity and integrity of the American soldier.
"Look........I'm 92," says Phil wearily, "I've had all the dignity and integrity I can handle. I sit in a pool of my own piss 18 hours a day. If Antonella's tits can get me a prostate operation and round the clock nursing care, I'm a happy man. Besides, this is America ....... we haven't had dignity here since 1966."
