Concrete pumper filling up the tunnels

CHEYENNE, WYOMING - Smiling with satisfaction that the newly established B.H.C. (Basset Hound Corp) is doing its job, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead announced today that several massive tunnels, large enough for humans to walk through, have been found dug under the 8 ft. high fence erected along the length of the Wyoming/Colorado border.

"We are presently filling the tunnels with concrete," said Governor Mead, "We think our basset hounds did an awesome job of sniffing out the tunnels and thus thwarting a busy thoroughfare of drug-oriented citizens, especially younger ones, between Wyoming and Colorado."

One of the B.H.C. handlers, Rudy Villanueva, is thrilled because his basset hound, MaryJane, led the charge when the dogs were released on their first day of duty. Explained Rudy, "MaryJane went right to the spot where the tunnel entrance was hidden behind some cut pine tree branches. She entered, started barking and chased a few citizens through the tunnel. It was great!"

Governor Mead concluded, "Our B.H.C. units are on patrol 24/7. We have five rotating shifts of dogs working on any given day, so they are always 'fresh' and ready for action while patrolling our side of the Wyoming/Colorado border."
