image for AARP Complains That Many Elderly Colorado Residents Are Getting High Just By Breathing The Marijuana In The Air
A 27-year-old Denver resident smoking pot in the parking lot of a retail store.

DENVER - The American Association of Retired Persons has filed a complaint with the state of Colorado.

The complaint states that since the state voted to decriminalize marijuana the amount of people smoking pot has increased by 4,000 percent.

An AARP spokesperson said that what is happening in the Rocky Mountain State is that senior citizens who are shopping at malls and retail outlets are inhaling the second hand smoke from the marijuana smokers since it is floating freely all over the place.

One pot smoker in his early 20's who said his name was Timmy Tusketti said that if the elderly folks don't like having to breathe the marijuana smoke then maybe they should move to Kansas.

SIDENOTE: AARP has said that they will be filing a lawsuit to overturn the vote which decriminalized pot.
