image for Noose tightens around Donziger's neck
'Probably scripted in a Hollywood crackhouse'

New York - Dumped by his own attorneys as a potential bankruptcy liability Amazonbotch litigation hotshot Steven Donziger's ass is in a sling alright.

Ecuador's $19 billion Chevron scam mastermind owes millions in unpaid legal fees to attorneys in a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act [RICO] lawsuit.

This weekend he's friendless in representation as two major law firms - one in San Francisco and the other in Houston, Texas - exit stage left somewhat sharpish from the RICO case citing saturation level client debt.

The case sees mighty San Ramon-based super major Chevron Corp slug it out in a New York courtroom with a stinking ragbag of litigation leeches who concocted Ecuador's huge $19 billion Chevron eco-pollution fantasy suit.

Described by US District Court for the Southern District of New York judge Lewis A Kaplan who's presiding over the RICO case as 'probably scripted in a Hollywood crackhouse' the lawsuit alleges Donziger was the kingpin in the embezzlement/fraud/racketeering suit.

The move follows another huge blow to Donziger who has been formally dumped by his UK backers - a prestigious London hedge fund - amid mounting reports of how the Ecuador litigation scam was cooked up.

Last month another blow saw Donziger lose his long-time mouthpiece Karen Hinton whose weekly anti-Chevron rants had become something of an internet comedy hit. [Comedy? Only for those with warped minds. 'Ed']

Hinton has been replaced by another PR which has yet to be paid for services rendered.
