image for Tourette's Syndrome Epidemic Blamed On Demon
What Appeared On The CAT Scan

Buffalo, NY-- A bizarre Tourette's Syndrome epidemic that has hit upstate New York is now blamed on a demon. Over fifty teen-aged girls have been hit with the malady since the beginning of the year. Doctors are now advising patients to contact their local clergy for a cure.

Tourette's Syndrome causes its sufferers to have an uncontrollable urge to yell and scream obscenities. The disease usually begins in childhood. It was thought to be non-contagious--until last month. The demon causing the troubles was discovered after one of the patients had a CAT scan.

"The last thing anyone expected to find was a demon!" said Dr. Groucho Marks. "The demon appeared smiling at the camera on everyone of the CAT scans we performed. Then we did some further investigating." said the doctor.

Dr. Marks contacted a local demonologist, who identified the evil spirit as Beelzebub.

"He's a serious demon." explained Dr. Marks. "We had to fly in some holy water all the way from the Vatican to fight him."

Doctors believe they have stopped the epidemic, for now. They still plan to consult with demonologists about some other diseases.

"Modern medicine doesn't know everything." stated Dr. Marks. "Demons are as dangerous as microbes, and cannot be ignored."
