President Obama is reportedly angered by the attention Tim Tebow is getting from his "antics" on the field when he kneels down after a touchdown at a football game.

The quarterback for the Denver Broncos has caused quite a stir in the White House where the President thought he had the reverential gestures market cornered with his bows to foreign heads of state including Chavez of Venezuela and assorted Saudi princes and kings.

"Reverential gestures are my game", he was heard to say, reading from his teleprompter. "This is no time to have some football player up-stage me in my own same".

"That's game, honey, not same. Your teleprompter's shorting out again. Can't you just put the thing away and come to bed?"

Axelrod is supposedly organizing a series of overseas visits in the coming year where Obama can exercise his legendary bow to whoever he meets. This, he feels, will keep Republicans hopping mad and totally oblivious to the bigger issues of the forthcoming election.

Asked if he would be speaking to Tebow any time soon, the President deferred to his secretary who told this reporter that he would answer that question this afternoon when his teleprompter would be back from the repair shop.

Make Lang Syne's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
