image for Bachmann on Leno: admits error re. HPV vaccine comment, says instead that it causes lesbianism
Lesbians who'd had the HPV vaccine: all the proof Bachmann needs

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--Michele Bachmann followed in Obama's footsteps by putting her foot in her mouth on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

When Leno pressed Bachmann on the topic regarding the HPV vaccine, Bachmann conceded, "Well, I wasn't speaking as a doctor. I wasn't speaking as a scientist.

"But I will tell you that before the show, two of your camera crew members whispered to me some incredibly enlightening information."

Leno, in his humorous way, responded that he couldn't even guess what this could be.

"Two woman came up to me," said Bachmann, "in separate instances to tell me that the HPV vaccine had most certainly caused militant lesbianism in their daughters."

The studio audience aghast, Leno suggested that all was well in a country where mental health clinics existed such as the one run by the Republican candidate's husband, Dr. Marcus Bachmann.

"Reparative therapy," said Leno, "otherwise known 'pray the gay away', seems to be a viable option for these afflicted girls, doesn't it?"

Bachmann responded that her husband would welcome a plug from a high profile person such as Leno since marriage was meant to be a union between a man and a woman.

When asked how long this has been the case, Bachmann offered a precise response: "For years and years and years."
