image for The Clash reach No. 1 as London's Burning!
The London pub Burning where The Clash used to practice!

In the wake of the horrendous riots gutting the suburbs of London, the eighties punk band, The clash, have decided to re-release their superb hit of yesteryear, "London's Burning".

Within 5 minutes it had sold out in London shops that weren't affected by looters, thieves, criminals, anarchists, drug dealers and nearly everybody else who could help themselves to a free-bee flat-line TV, washing machine or stereo, etc.

Sadly the lead singer of The Clash, Joe Strummer, couldn't be around to witness the rebirth of his groups success who are climbing the charts like a "Phoenix out of the ashes", especially those left behind where a Curry's store once stood.

The other members of the group are very happy about this sudden financial wind-fall and publicity, but would have much preferred it if there hadn't had been any riots, but that's show-biz for you.

The Jam, another ex-punk band are also planning on re-releasing their hit, "Going Underground", the only problem with that is the Underground stations are closed until further notice!

Make Jaggedone's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
