Alexander Huryn, 90, has kept his past hidden for decades but the man who settled in Britain over 60 years ago has been exposed as a former guard at a Nazi concentration camp.
Although researchers discovered his secret in Soviet-era archives it wasn't actually that which gave him away.
Neighbour Stan Dandyliver, who has lived in the same street for 54 years, told us, "We've always though that it was odd seeing a couple of lookout towers either side of his driveway, and rolls of razor-wire blocking the path to his front door. On Sundays we would see him goose-stepping up and down his front garden in Jack Boots and full Nazi uniform, but we though he was just a bit eccentric."
Police said a complete set of plans for construction of a Nazi 'fitness' camp have been found in Huryn's house.
One Constable, in a moment of politically incorrect excitement, gushed, "That's the best news I've heard in ages - I can't believe they're going to build another one."
