A casualty of planetary events.

The announcement from NASA that gravitational changes are beginning to influence the weight of objects on our planet - making them to behave less heavy as a result of the gradual alignment of all the planets in the solar system (they will all be in a row on 12 December 2012) brought also the warning that by next summer the changes could become so great that anything the weight of an average human adult could be in danger of being lifted up into the clouds when coming into contact with just a small breeze.

Though they are assuring everyone that the problem will soon be over after December 2012 as gravity returns to normal nevertheless they are advising all countries to ensure that sufficient amounts of lead weighted boots are distributed as soon as possible to all their citizens so that they can be worn during the period of maximum danger (June 2012 to June 2013).

Non-obese children will be at particular risk.Parents are advised to tether their children to the ground on windy days so that they don't suddenly fly up into the stratosphere.

Sebastian Cole could not hide his joy after being told about the announcement.

'This is such fantastic news' he said 'It means that it is a virtual certainty that the field events during next years staging of the Olympic games in London will produce many new world records.Just think of how high we'll be seeing the athletes jumping in the high jump. We're going to see them truly rising to the challenge.'

'Unfortunately we may not be able to include the diving events at all because the competitors would be going up instead of coming down.'

Make Tommy Twinkle's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
