image for Isle of Wight News - Spoof Writers invited to talk to teens about future employment opportunities
Yeah! Newby youth. I'll sign you on. No prob.

Newby mayor, Arthur Askme (yes he is STILL in office - he's barricaded himself into his office after hearing news that the villagers want to replace him), Isle of Wight, has invited three of the most devoted Spoof writers to speak to the youth of the village in an effort to boost the morale of the teens.

Apparently the teens are feeling rather demoralized after learning that there will be fewer jobs and more applicants for those fewer jobs, when they graduate High School in July.

Chris James is one of the writers who has been invited to speak to the youngsters. He knows what it is like to struggle and go through hard times. He is still not yet back in his home, which was damaged as a result of a burst water pipe 3 months ago.

It is anticipated that HIS segment of the 'seminar' will be on "PERSEVERANCE AT ALL COSTS IN ALL WALKS OF LIFE"

Lady Godiva is said to be really pleased to have been invited to speak to the youngsters and will be speaking on "EQUALITY OF THE SEXES NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE". She is NOT a women's libber.

Spoof writer 'Inhopeless' is excited to be included and he has decided to include in HIS segment of the Seminar, "HOW NOT TO GET MUGGED" "THE ART OF STARTING SILLY NEW THREADS" AND "THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDYING FOR EXAMS".

The MAIN message the Spoofers hope to bring to the youth of Newby is, "Follow your dream and if all else fails, register as a writer on The Spoof.com and you will feel a 'somebody' when you go to pick up your Welfare Cheque."

Make Lady Godiva's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
