Where is this Pasty from?

The European Court is likely to protect the Cornish Pasty by giving it a PGI (Pretty Good Indigestion) award - meaning that only Pasties prepared in Cornwall can be called 'Cornish Pasties'.

Pasties made in Devon, following the same recipe, cannot be called Cornish Pasties but could be called Cornish Pasties made in Devon. Although this could confuse consumers it is thought that Pasties made in Cornwall would be superior because of the air found there.

'This will save Cornwall from sinking into oblivion' declared an upbeat Cornish clergyman 'we now know that the hand of God has gone into making our Pasties.' Others caled it a 'Praper jarb' and dismissed ideas that Devon's Pasties were just as good.

The war between Devonshire Cream and Cornish Clotted Cream has unsettled the West Country for decades with attacks on Plymouth Argyle footballers by Cornish extremists throwing cream into the faces of players about to score. This has led to Argyle missing goals and having to go into Administration.

'The Cornish don't have a team in any of the leagues' said an Argyle fan. 'We have Exeter and Torquay as well as Argyle. Just shows our Pasties are just as good as theirs.' 'Nonsense' say the Cornish 'you should see our Rugby players from Penzance.'

Trained mediators on the Cornish/Devon border near Launceston have set up tents with Pasties to taste. Those who guess correctly the county that made the Pasty they are eating will be given a trip around Dartmoor Prison (if they choose Devon correctly) or a jump off Lands End(if they choose Cornwall correctly.)

Make j.w.'s day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
