image for 'No secret parallel Jo Yeates inquiry' as rattled security agencies deny story spike
Plausible deniability: earlier police e-Fit of their main suspect

Bristol - (Chinese New Year Whipers): Have preposterous subtexts in the Yeates killing probe been hurriedly quashed by British spooks?

Last week's red top suspicions about 'an unreported alternative probe' by the UK's counter-espionage directorate have met with a typical 'WTF?' response.

The rumor was triggered by claims of an anonymous foreign intelligence agency's attempts to secretly download Vincent Tabak's CPS file.

The phishing bid bombed, of course, maybe because the Met's recently reinstated wire-tap inquiry could already have been bugging the phone buggers in the post-Coulson hacking probe.

A standard-issue reaction of plausible deniability then quickly killed off potentially tricky headlines delving into the accused Dutch architect's interesting background.

Earlier this month Spoof news sources reported a possible KGB link suggesting a sleeper agent in the Britsol area had been planted to help find a missing Russian nuclear sub.

Homing beacon signals from the Severn Bore ceased hurriedly about the same time Tabak was arrested in the Yeates murder probe.
