Unemployment gives City a Fillip

Just when the Government was beginning to look somewhat unstuck great news came through which should save the Coalition.

Unemployment is UP and the trend is for more. Shares in the City went to an all time high as the army of jobless guaranteed few disputes and strikes from those having jobs.

'This will keep inflation down' said a gleaming George Osborne 'you can depend on us to get things right.'

Meanwhile boss Cameron is trying to get himself out of the cow-pat he stepped into concerning the NHS. 'Whatever you do, David, came the advice from Mrs Thatcher, don't mess around with the Health Service!'

Cameron determined to move out of the shadow of Empress Margaret has challenged history with his brave steps towards privatising the health system, despite the advice of his Communications Director who has been feeling unwell recently. Cameron feels sure the American Tea Party will approve his daring initiative and that anybody who matters has gone private already.

Luckily for David, his opposite number Ed Miliband is finding it as difficult to score goals as poor old West Ham. He is what my mother used to call 'a nice young man' with the killer instinct rather muted. However the Labour Lords have surprised everyone, including themselves, by showing no one is ever too old for a good time!

The old and the young might yet save us from the nightmare.

Make j.w.'s day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
