image for Student Protests Spread to Airports
Motorway Protestors Destroying the British Economy

In a development the Tory led Government had not anticipated, the British public have been organising spontaneous sit-ins at airports in the UK.

One passenger Edna Trout had her children with her and they were part of the sit-in at Heathrow Airport. 'We were prepared to sacrifice our holiday to demonstrate our support for the students. My children are with me in this, in fact I would be in trouble if I didn't make this stand - or sit down - with them.'

At this, a young boy of about 12 announced his name was Julian - I've changed it because of my internet hero Julian Assange. I think the cyberwar is terrific. It is the best game on the Internet at the moment.'

Other airports have been halted by a mass of people from all walks of life who are sitting in to show they care about the increase in student fees. After skating along several roads I managed to get to Gatwick. I met a solid phalanx of rowdy demonstrators singing the protest song 'Why are we waiting? accompanied by a guitarist resembling Bob Dylan. I asked what they were waiting for. 'Justice for the students' shouted one elderly protester waving the 'Daily Mail' at me.

I went away shocked at what might befall this country. There was revolution in the air! Fears are growing that the mass protests which have now spread to motorways could destroy the British economy.

We hear of news that European wide protests are developing at Airports. As is so often the case, Britain is LEADING THE WORLD!

The Government is in a quandary. Sending in the troops to clear the airports and the motorways seems the only way to go but would Nick Clegg agree to this?

Make j.w.'s day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
