The self-confessed philanderer and millionaire MP Lib-Dem John Hemming took out a £200,000 mortgage to stem a 'cash flow' problem. He then billed the taxpayers £825 a month to cover the repayments, reported the Mail.
More shocking that that, and exclusively uncovered by The Spoof Investigative Reporter Shara Joint, is the 8,000 plants worth an estimated £2million found tucked away in a warehouse attached to an MP's home.
Police believe it cost between £250,000 and £500,000 to kit out the building, in Heybridge, Essex, now shown to have been funded by taxpayers. The M.P., known only as Rastus O'Blowtorch, also arranged to dig into a local electricity cable, using £10000 a month to power the Ganja Garden.
In addition, four gardeners were employed full-time.
When challenged, O'Blowtorch was unapologetic. "Apparently studies have shown smoking weed causes short term memory loss... Next they will be saying that smoking weed causes short term memory loss. Anyway, I was going to sell it on to local dealers at amazing cut-down prices by way of erm... selling it. Did I say about the memory loss? Anyway, the Police's estimate of 2 mill for 280kg is WAY overpriced. They're paying a lot more for their smokes than they need to."
