image for Britain Is at the Brink of War with Italy, Thanks to Cheri Blair
"It was only a piece of fine Italian BLING!!!"

History probably will not relate the account of how close Britain came to war with Italy. Not content with her husband's dealings with Iraq, Cheri Blair decided to stir up trouble with the Ities.

In what would appear to be a case of "keeping up with the Joneses" the ex-Prime Minister's wife, Cheri Blair is trying very hard to match her husband's earnings of £20,000 per minute. Since leaving the office just three years ago, Tony Blair has managed to leave the country in a terrible mess, and at the same time, earn £20 million - not bad work if you can get it!

In recent months the relatively poor Lawyer has been forced to sell gifts given to her by foreign dignitaries. In Seine News has discovered that she has been flogging of the family silver in order to top up the Blairs's burgeoning, joint, offshore bank account. It emerged that that she has sold a watch which was given to her by the Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, on eBay for £98. The Locman Mare wristwatch was sold as "unused in its original box with guarantee" and is said to be worth around £300, although the guarantee is probably void because the watch is now more than three years old.

Mr Berlusconi told In Seine News; "In oura country wea do not sell off presents -- it is very ruda thing to do! How would she feela if I solda the tasteless 'Houses of Parliamenta, snowing paperweight' in Waterford Crystal? In facta I mighta sella it buta I am afraid it mighta only bringa 99p! or 50,000 lire"
