The rescue of the Chilean miners from their 700m prison by Chilean mining engineers may have gripped the world at large, but it appears that most British teens think that the whole thing is a crashing bore.
Experts theorise that because the rescue attempt has to be painstaking and necessarily cautious that the British teens we spoke to were disappointed because the miners didn't all just pop out one after another with fireworks going off and loud dance music.
Along the lines of the X-Factor.
"It was just boring man," Justus Maringo of Bethnal Green said. "Me teacher said I should watch it on the box, but after about twenny minutes or so there weren't nuffink 'appenin so I switched over to the MTV innit."
Sheffield schoolboy Sam Hines said:
"I don't get what all't fuss is abaht mesen. So they drilled a big 'ole. So what? Me old man drills holes all't time wi' 'is Black an' Decker. They can stuff their bloody rescue - it teks yonks. Th' only chile I'm interested in mate is that worra gets on me kebab. Borin' load of old shite."
More as we get it.
