Snow in London - TERRIBLE!

After weeks in which the north of England, all of Scotland and much of Wales has been under a blanket of snow some three feet deep, causing death, destruction and delayed bus services, the snow has reached the south east.

This has prompted news services in England to start reporting on the disastrous weather, with the middle classes now hit by the appalling white out instead of the great unwashed northerners.

"It is an absolute disaster," said one middle class twit on prime time BBC news, "I am unable to get to the shops to buy dishwasher tablets, and I've almost run out."

Another complained that her dog walker had rung in, unable to reach her to collect the dogs. "They may poop in one's own garden, and that would be distasteful," she told the country.

Similar tales have been uncovered by the BBC's roving reporters that are obviously tethered to Shepherd's Bush by their microphone leads, as they have been unable to cover train crashes and stranded motorists in Leeds, Northumberland and Stranraer.

Fortunately, a country-wide riot was staved off as half of the country was too busy digging its way out from under its unwanted blanket to notice that the news had suddenly started reporting on the bad weather.

Make IainB's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
