With a general election looming, the three main political parties have announced that in total at least two hundred MPs won't be standing for re-election at the general election. This is roughly one third of all MPs, so what is behind this sudden changeover?

Research by the Hews Watching Yew Institute based in Letsby Avenue, Sheffield have uncovered that it is likely to be down to opportunist MPs who never had any intention of representing their constituents jumping aboard the gravy train while they can.

Electing new MPs by replacing existing ones will add more to the existing gravy train irrespective of how long they serve, so even if they are only in for one term of office which is what many of these new MPs are expected to be in for they could end up having plenty for doing virtually nothing since all those who have been elected are already guaranteed a beefy pensions package which is protected and paid for by the taxpayer.

There is concern that under the present economic situations the funding will soon dry up and there will be no gravy left.

This is a new breed of spongers - elitists planning to sponge as much as they can off the state for doing nothing. They are like benefits spongers sponging off the state but having some status try to make it look like they are worthy of this. We all know that people who are paid for doing very little are spongers in some way or another and MPs like to hype their status up to disguise their tactics.

Since many decent people wouldn't ever dream of becoming an MP because of their track record, it is only those who are attracted by the money which can be gained who will go along this line.

Becoming an MP is linked more to failure to achieve something in life along the lines of education and career than serving the constituents, so by getting into parliament they can have some control over those who have outperformed them - like revenge. It is a bit like cowards on The Weakest Link getting into power ruining the lives of those who have done better. But then these cowards (who are really bullies in disguise) always like to be in control.

Look at what Tony Blair did and what his intentions are now - to become president of the EU. All that is behind this jumped-up public school imbecile is status, wealth, rank and power but very little capability on his own since he has to be spoon-fed with everything - he never does the work himself but gets others to do his dirty work and reaps the credit due to others. Without all this he wouldn't be able to survive so he needs all this mollycoddling and deception to survive.

A spokesperson for the Blairs said that all the money Mr Blair gets must be seen as linked to his care needs.
