Lethal Weapon by Mel Gibson.

Over-zealous security guards were quick to spot a potential terrorist threat as innocent passenger Ian O'Cent waited to board the BA flight to Lanzarote.

O'Cent was pulled from the line of passengers and taken to interview room when the security guards saw he was carrying a paperback book with a picture of a nine millimetre automatic pistol on the cover.

"We can't be too careful, you know," said Richard Forbraines, head of security at Manchester Airport. "He could have cut the picture of the gun out and used it to threaten our extremely gullible air stewardesses."

O'Cent was interrogated for over an hour, during which time he had to recap everything that had happened in the book up until the point where he had marked his page by folding it in the corner.

After an internal examination to ensure he had not secreted scissors anywhere on his person, O'Cent was allowed to board the by now delayed flight to Lanzarote, on the condition that he did not attempt to read the book during the flight.

Ironically, Osama Bin Laden was on the flight, but missed by the security guards because he was carrying a book with flowers on the cover.
