We just load it and aim it at Downing Street Sir

Britain's most decorated soldier has described the government's care of soldiers to be a disgrace.

Brigadier General Sir Alvin Stardust, KCB OBE CBEEBES RAC MOT ABC LOOK OF LOVE SHOOT THAT POISON ARROW YMCA BBC ITV XTC said "These people have served their country. No wonder we are in such a mess. In some countries the government looks after the armed forces. Because the government is the armed forces. Here we are just too far behind. This country spends more money on a party to celebrate winning the olympics than it does on looking after those who risk their life for them".

Gordon Broon disputed this claim. Speaking at a party to launch the opening of the new arena for Olympic chess, called the Harry Redkapp Chessodrome, the prime minister had this to say "Anybody who thinks that we forget our armed forces and concentrate on trivial ideas and electioneering is way off the mark. Just ask Dame Kelly Holmes, Sir Jonathan Edwards and Lord Coe of Judo Throwing Tory Leader Fun."

Those fighting at the front line disagree. It has been suggested that lives are cheap when it comes to politics. But surely no government would help to engineer a war in order to stay in power. Could you ever imagine Margaret Thatcher doing the same?

Make Earl Grey's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
