In an embarrassing leaked memo from the British furniture superstore giants, it has emerged that a laptop containing detailed plans of a kitchen for the Jenkins's extension has been left on a train.

"Nobody else will be able to use the data on the laptop," Gary McGary, head of security at MFI told the assembled member of the press. "The data is completely encrypted, and even if they do break the password as easily as they do in the movies, it will still be of no use to them because the Jenkins have an unusually shaped extension."

This news follows on from the previous loss of a flash pen drive containing information on the periods that MFI do not have a sale on. The details were posted onto the internet and used to completely boycott the store that day.

McGary added: "We take our electronic security very seriously. Ever since our website was hacked and details of the real prices of our stock was displayed, we have tightened up in every area. We wouldn't want another repeat of people demanding real oak tables for five pounds. Where's the profit in that?"

Fortunately for MFI, the laptop turned up in lost property at Sheffield International Railway station. Though the kitchen plans had been tampered with, correcting all the major design flaws.

Make IainB's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
