image for More documents left on train, this time by MI6 agent
The exciting train tracks at Reading

MI6 has today revealed that yet more important documents have been left on a train despite recent publicity and a tightening up of procedures.

The train in question was the 7.42 from London to Reading, calling at Bournemouth, Sheffield, Aberdeen, Grimsby, Belfast, parts of Birmingham New Street and Reading, providing there is a following wind and no leaves on the track.

It would appear that a senior MI6 agent, whose name, Martin Burke, can't be revealed for security reasons, must have been too pre-occupied with the news in his free Metro to notice that when he left the train, he had forgotten some important documents he should have taken to the out-post office he was heading to in Reading.

When he arrived at the office, and much to his embarrassment, he realised that he had left behind his very important document.

At the press conference later that morning he confessed: "Had I not been comparing Princess Eugenie with Peaches Geldolf to see who was the more ugly, and put the return portion of my ticket in my wallet as Mrs Burke is forever nagging me to do, I would not have got myself into this predicament.

"As a result, it would seem I have now lost my ticket forever, and will have to buy a new single journey ticket, at considerable expense to the tax-payer, to ensure I can return to London tonight. Unless I chance my arm and change my name by deed poll to Cherie Blair before my return journey."

"I can only apologise to the British public for losing this vital document."
