Cyberspace - (Ass Mess): A number of satirical websites have issued an apology to Gerry McCann after claims he was trolling chatrooms under the assumed name of Helium.
The news follows a libel case settlement where McCann was awarded 10p damages as well as official retractions for the grossly defamatory allegation that he hid behind a smokescreen of innuendo, half-truth and insinuation connected with the disappearance of his forum avatar.
The damages will now be donated to the Find the Avatar Fund which was launched in 2007 in association with a swathe of international politicians, Global Piss Process luminaries and Bushco war mongers of various persuasions.
The websites in question are believed to be consulting legal sources about the wording of their apology to McCann after additionally suggesting he was a gormless tosser who milked public figures for personal gain "and was probably married - to boot - to an illegitimate sister of Tony Blair."
Meanwhile in Praia da Iluzion Portuguese prosecutors have reiterated that McCann and wife are still the top suspects in their investigation:
"Any side issues like the current moral high tone of the high court libel victory should be taken in the same spirit as Heather Mills' valedictory post-divorce hearing rant outside the Royal Courts of Justice on Monday," a Policia Judiciaria source said today.
