Delia smith today denied rumours that she had, in her early career, done porn films to subsidize her training at university.
A source close to the housewives favourite said she was deeply upset that her sordid past had been brought into the light after being buried for many years.
Some still shots from one of her films were posted on a fan-based website this week. Mrs Jeannie Gracie (64) of Runcorn was thought to be the woman behind the images but was unavailable for comment.
In a public poll today 37% of people asked said that this scandal would not effect her popularity. 26% said they would love to see Delia popping out some nice puffy baps the next time she's on TV.
