In an embarrassing disclosure by both the FA and Liberal Democrats, it has been revealed that Fabio Capello is the new Lib Dem Leader.

The mix-up was due to an error by the company who were given the contract to support the Lib Dems in finding a new leader and the contract to help the FA find a new England football manager. Lib Dem members were mistakenly sent cards with the names of potential England managers instead of prospective party leaders.

The majority of party members have stated that although it has been a shock to find an Italian football manager as leader of their party, they would respect the democratic process as it is the foundation on which their party is built on.

A confident looking Capello speaking with the help of an interpreter told reporters last night:

"I obviously wasn't expecting to be leader of the Liberal Democrats at the same time as being England's manager but I feel I could do both jobs to a great standard."

When asked by a Daily Mail reporter what his immigration policy would be, Capello answered that the best solution would be a 4 4 2 formation.
