image for Portuguese cops wants to dig up Leicestershire
Plenty of these needed as Leicestershire is a pretty large remit

Portugal - (Disaster Mess): The Portimao public prosecutor has told local police to apply for an EU warrant to dig up large swathes of Leicestershire in their hunt for missing four year old Maddie.

"If there's a body that's where it will be," a spokesman for the Portuguese police said today after confirming their interest in a press theory that a UK aviation tycoon who doshed up the Find Maddie Campaign squirrelled away her body in one of his private jets:

"We're looking at Richard Branson and we're probing that EasyJet Stelios guy," the spokesman continued.

Meanwhile the Portuguese media is having a field day with their latest stories that US singer Michael Jackson is to pay for the McCanns' legal defence team after JK Rowling and Philip Green ditched them following adverse publicity.

"And why ever not?" asked today's headlines of the Portimao Observer.
