image for Typo blamed for anti-nuclear fallout
Not this quacker

HELENSBURGH, Scotland - Quakers at Faslane Peace Camp fell out with each other for half an hour.

During a meeting discussing appropriate responses to aggressive trespass on site, a Quaker was seen to lift the biggest axe in the camp and return to his van with it.

"When we saw Dave leave with the axe, we became concerned. After 20 minutes of nervous glances all-round and 12 cups of herbal tea, the other Dave and I decided to have a quiet work with him" said Davina "Dave" Davis. "As far as we were aware, Dave had signed the Peace Pledge as a Quaker. So you can imagine our surprise when he told us this was a typo, and that he wasn't a Quaker, but was in fact a "Quacker", which is a completely different sect."

The Quakers stated they were able to non-violently disarm Dave the Quacker while he was doubled over on the floor of his van, although the incident disturbed them and they found it difficult to share his obvious hilarity.

Make Cinead's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
