Kipper-ties fluttered and sports jackets came alive, today, when it was announced that the missing Mars Probe had been found orbiting the Open University headquarters at Milton Keynes.
Some experts had questioned whether a team of well-intentioned amateurs from the O.U. were competent enough to be in charge of such a difficult mission.
Ace astronomer, Patrick Moore, has long been critical of the Open University Space Team, ever since their lunar mission failed, when the bottle fell over and the rocket got stuck in the grass.
Patrick went on to explain how the experts at NASA take their work far more seriously than their British counterparts.
If you name a blinking probe after a blinking dog,' he explained, Is it any wonder that the thing comes back to hound you?' he sobbed.
'Wonder if there are concrete cows on Mars ?'
