image for Daily Mail preparing Mandela Party kits
Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton

The Daily Mail has come under fire after it was revealed that the paper was preparing Mandela Death Party kits for readers wishing to celebrate the death of the former South African leader.

After the death of Margaret Thatcher the Mail was incandescent with rage that people would celebrate the death of the former Prime Minister however it says that there is not a double standard. In a statement they said: "Thatcher was a deity a true goddess while Mandela is a terrorist who opposed British policy in Africa. He is an icon of the left but like Che Guevara he is nothing more than a gun runner."

The Prime Minister David Cameron said "I don't think that there is a problem I will be hosting a party in Downing Street. With luck his death will mean that my old chums can get back into power in South Africa."

Ed Miliband the Labour leader said "I did not support the parties for Thatcher but I could understand them. But celebrating the death of a world icon is distasteful that Cameron will be celebrating but it shows him for what he is."

At the time of writing Mandela is still alive and the Mail insist that should he die they will press on with their party kits.
