image for Brooks facing questions over horse meat
Cameron with the Horse

Former News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks is to be questioned by the police over allegations that she disposed of a former police horse that she borrowed in some beef burgers.

The Horse which was ridden by David Cameron while in the care of Brooks became the centre of a political storm last year. It is thought that Brooks decided to dispose of the horse in case it caused more embarrassment. It is thought that she served the burgers at her summer barbeque at which guests included the Prime Minister and Chancellor as well as Boris Johnson the Mayor of London.

'Top Gear' presenter Jeremy Clarkson a close friend of Brooks and Cameron said "I think it's all a load of bollocks. Not that I would mind, I've eaten seal flipper with grated puffin in the past. I'm sure that if Rebekah did serve horse it was of the finest quality. Both Dave and George were very merry at that party so they probably wouldn't have noticed. In fact I'm not sure they ate very much as they were in conference with Uncle Rupert for most of the time."

Asked about the incident in regards to the wider range of the horse meat scandal Heath Secretary Jeremy Hunt said "Horse meat is fit to eat, it's cheap and low in nutrition so it's perfect faire for the majority who live close to or under the poverty line. It has little good stuff in it so that they have little energy to complain. Once we make health pay to use we can get them dying young as well."

There has been no comment from either Miss Brooks or the Prime Minister who are said to be spending the weekend together on a hunt.
