It's Britain's third most popular reality television show featuring celebrities, and it's back on Channel 5 now. Yes, Celebrity Big Brother has returned for its 11th season, and as the teaser adverts have loudly proclaimed, this time no barrel has been left unscraped.
For the first time, the series will feature only puppet celebrities. The line-up has already been confirmed. Viewers can look forward to seeing Gordon the Gopher, Bungle from Rainbow, Sweep (Sooty's friend) and one of the Teletubbies as they compete to survive for three weeks on the famous show. Kermit the Frog is also likely to appear, as Emu (Rod Hull's sidekick) has had to withdraw following recent police investigations of allegations of Emu's inappropriate behaviour in the 1970s.
The celebrities will not be living a luxurious lifestyle in the star-studded house. They will be without luxuries or handlers. No food or alcohol will be permitted, and no puppeteers will be present to control the well-known figures. It is thought that the prospect of watching 12 lifeless puppets sitting around literally doing nothing for three weeks will bring a new lease of life into the stagnant show.
