The Former British Colony of the United State of America (FBCOUSA) are holding elections to choose their next leader. The colony, which lies six days by steamship west of Britain, hold their elections at four-yearly intervals. Instead of a Queen, they vote for a President to go onto their coins and banknotes, and to meet foreign dignitaries when they visit the New World.
FBCOUSA is a wild uncivilised place, where gunslinging cowboys still roam the prairies, tea is no longer drunk, and the economy has struggled since the emancipation of the slaves.
Many have complained that "rejoin Great Britain" was not an option on the ballot papers, but the previous leader, Irishman Barrington O'Bama would not allow it.
Much of the world's press is taking a curious interest in this new nation's choice of leader. However, they are far more concerned about what will happen in China later in the week when a new emperor is appointed.
