The Great British justice system has done it again; a man has been spared jail after burgling three houses in five days. Justice Bowers listened to how the "poor lamb" had developed a heroin problem and was merely stealing so he didn't have to work and could feed his habit. Bowers could hardly wipe the tears of admiration out of his eyes as he said:

"It takes a huge amount of courage to burgle somebody's house..."

That or a large amount of heroin?

The super sensitive judge went on to say:

"I wouldn't have the nerve..."

Looking at this performance in court I can't imagine he has the nerve to do anything. He seems like the sort of guy who sits down to take a piss.

The smack head even asked for another burglary and an attempted raid to be taken into account when sentencing him. This just seemed to send the judge into spasms of joy as he gushed:

"I don't think anybody would benefit from sending you to prison today..."

Except maybe the smack head himself who might be able to get drug treatment? Or the average, hard working people who obey the rules might benefit seeing someone getting their "just desserts".

"We'd all just feel a little bit easier that a burglar had been taken off the streets..."

Yes, Back and to the Left news agrees with this. I'm sure the pensioners whose house he broke into would sleep a lot easier if the man who invaded their sanctuary was in a cell. What's good news is that Britons judges no longer go in for the sensible, common sense or even the morally right option these days. And so Judge Peter Bowers let the man walk free. Back and to the Left news wonders what his sentence would have been if it had been his house he had broken into.
