image for Prescott brain goes under the hammer
Prescotts first brain is not 'honourable' court decides

Nathaniel Prescott, previously known as John has put his old brain up for auction with a reserve price of between 4 - 6 million Euros according to Burnhams Auction house in Mayfair.

Director, David Spinks believes it will be of special interest to the scientific community who are keen to study how a brain functions without neurones, synapses or even what psychologists term 'reason'.

Swiss physicists at the Large Haidron Collider near Bern have already expressed an interest since they believe it may contain the mystery 'Higgs Boson' particle which theoretically links our universe to a parallel one.

Prescott famously received the transplant in 1997 when MI5 deemed it unthinkable that his incumbent grey-matter be given any kind of brief in government. Surgeons worked around the clock to install a 1981 ZX Spectrum circuit board which received mixed reviews - some calling it a miracle - others, including Tony Blair - "Just John".

However, in a surprise turnaround, the hammer went down on a bid of just £7.50 from a mystery bidder Pauline Tilston because apparently the brain 'still liked her hair'.
