image for Julie Ward probe linked to Lord Lucan sighting
Claims Miss Ward may have been savaged by the same lion that did for Lucan are bizarre

Nairobi, Kenya - The strawberry blond Suffolk photographer's remains were discovered in 1988 at a Masai Mara game reserve close to where new reports have placed Lord Lucan.

To date nobody has been convicted of her killing despite several attempts to prosecute some totally unconnected indigenous chaps, subsequently exonerated of all charges.

This weekend a new TV documentary says the missing Irish peer was living the life of Riley in East Africa, supported by flush gambling pals back in Blighty.

"The two cases may be linked," a forensic expert at the UK National Poisons Unit said today, "it's just too much of a co-incidence to ignore."

Lucan vanished in 1974 after the family nanny Sandra Rivett was found bludgeoned to death at the Earl's Belgravia home; he left behind a string of massive casino debts and a shellshocked wife and two children.

He and several Lloyds of London syndicate pals were known to have been facing bankruptcy after stumping up heavily in insurance losses.

Additionally those same business friends had just lost a High Court property fraud case where their ownership claims to a large London estate were thrown out by a judge as 'risible'.

Apparently one of the solicitors acting for the defeated claimants was a close relative of Miss Ward - a connection that's now being investigated in the dual Kenya murder mystery.

"This alleged link is totally daft," Lady Lucan's former cleaning woman's feng shui adviser commented today.

"Wanna see pix of the Lucan family holidaying in Skegness circa 1973?"
