Stains-on-Pillowcase

The residents of the sleepy Cotswold town of Stains-on-Pillowcase have today suffered a rude awakening when it emerged that due to an administrative error their town had been twinned with, O La La Bonk, which it now transpires is actually a Brothel in Paris.

Local land owner, Peter Bovine-Worrier (36) told our reporter, "It is just not good enough. I know many people around here are up in arms about it, and there are even some who are down in the legs. I know for a fact that my wife will not stand for it, and she has not done so for quite some time"

Ms. Stephanie Numb-Buttocks (45) proprietor of, Ee Nay Mr. Wilks Horse Riding and Leather Goods Emporium, said, "Whoever is responsible for this fiasco should be horsewhipped, and I will be only too happy to administer the punishment. In fact I have a little room above the stable that has been especially kitted out for precisely this type of thing, and I might add is available at what I consider to be very reasonable rates and a discount for the over 70s."

The Town Mayor, Ivor Goldchain-Plonker, told us, "Well this is all a bit of a cock-up to be honest. I did speak to a French lady on the telephone and she seemed to be very accommodating. She said that she or any member of her staff would bend over backwards to satisfy our needs. But in my defence I have to say that I did leave the actual arrangements to my Town Clerk, Mr. Strangelikes, he was over there on a fact finding mission for two months and only recently returned. In fact he has just this morning rushed back over to Paris to sort all this out."

Meanwhile I fancy that the controversy is set to continue.
