image for Man United Legend Ryan Giggs Is A Socks Addict - Family Devastated
Victims Of Sock Addiction Pictured Last Week

People close to Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs, reluctantly admitted that Giggsy is a socks addict, and urged him to seek treatment as a matter of urgency, before his addiction finally gets the better of him.

Although never aired publicly, those closest to star have been concerned about his sock addiction for many years. Rumours have been circulating around the city that sometimes, Ryan Giggs wears as many as six pairs of socks a day. If the rumours are to be believed, he even sometimes wears two pairs of socks at once - one pair over another, even if it causes his shoes to pinch.

A Manchester United insider revealed exclusively to Skoob News that he thought the little man bag, which Giggsy always carries to away games contained toiletries. He was horrified when he learned the truth - the man bag was stuffed with pairs of brand new socks, possibly coupled with a spare pair of underpants.

Nobody seems to know for sure quite how or why Giggsy's terrible sock addiction took hold, but it must rank alongside some of the most spectacular falls from grace in world sport. To witness the decline into sock addiction of a once revered and respected example of excellence is a tragic occurrence, and a terrible warning for those tempted to follow in Giggsy's tainted footsteps.

"He always changed his socks at half time when I played with him," a former team mate confided. "I thought nothing of it at the time. You know, I just thought his feet were wet, and that he was changing into dry socks to help his ball control. I wish I'd known at the time, I could have urged him to get treatment."

For many the sock addiction has proved altogether too much. One tearful fan revealed that she'd never take anything at face value, ever again.

"I idolised that man, when he was on the football pitch," she sobbed. "But now I know the sordid truth - he was probably locked in a toilet cubicle half the time, changing his socks, and flushing the old ones down the toilet. To get rid of the evidence. I'll never forgive him."

A sad day indeed for sport.

More as we get it.
